It is a crushed tomato complimented with olive oil and basil and is ideal for use in sauces which require minimal cooking such as Putanesca, Marinara & Matriciana. For a different style of Meditteranean sauce, the Casalinga can be mixed with the Napoli Sauce and gently simmered on low heat for approximately 30 minutes. Ideal for Bolognaise sauce, Lasagne, Fish, Meat and Pizza's if you choose.
